Offering a LARGE QUANTITY of
Ti-6Q2 Round Bar
Stock & Plate

With the early cancellation of the F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet program many tons of Ti-6Q2 Next Generation Titanium Alloy has been made available to us at an below manufacturing cost.

The USAF in conjunction with RTI (RMI) Titanium developed this next generation Titanium Alloy(Alloyed with Chrome/Molybdenum) for the F-22 Fighter Jet program. This Titanium goes by the brand Ti-6Q2. Listed on this website is our inventory of round bar & plate at liquidation prices purchased from many of the F-22's subcontractor’s.

The commercial brand name for this alloy is Ti-6Q2 but technically it is know as Ti-6-22-22s or 62222s & AMS4898. It’s chemistry is Ti-6Al-2Sn-2Zr-2Cr-2Mo .015Si. What sets Ti-6Q2 apart from other grades of Titanium has been the alloying of Titanium with Chromium & Molybdenum. Previously Ti-6Q2 was a Military use only Titanium Alloy.

This website is dedicated to bring this amazing alloy to the commercial market. This alloy cost the USAF $65.00 per lb to purchase for the F-22 program we are offering it as low as $13.00 per lb.Our goal to introduce this alloy to the commercial markets and the prompt liquidation of our current inventory.

We Are Now Offering This Material as low as $13-$19 per lb. Depending on Size & Quantity Needed

Although this website contains most of the information you will need. If you wish to research this alloy outside of this website please type technical name (Ti-62222s or Ti-6Al-2Sn-2Zr-2Cr-2Mo .015Si) in internet search engine. This alloy is not yet widely known by the commercial name Ti-6Q2.

Some Characteristics & Comparisons on this Alloy are:

1. Easier to machine than 6Al-4V

2. Stronger than 6Al-4V

3. Tougher than 6Al-4V

4. Higher Creep Strength than 6Al-4V

5. Higher Rockwell C than 6Al-4V

6. Forges with better plasticity than 6Al-4V

7. Has same weight characteristics as 6Al-4V

8. Higher Abrasion Resistance than 6Al-4V

9. Is an Alpha-Beta Alloy like 6Al-4V

10. Has better Solution (heat) Treating & Aging responses than 6Al-4V

11. Has an amazing high finish after machining

12. Can be easily Hard Chrome Plated for bearing & seal surfaces

This is an amazing Uniquely American Titanium alloy that has yet to make the jump from military applications to commercial or automotive.
